Cruz: Trump is a 'Disaster', Clinton Would Be Worse

Speaking on "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" Ted Cruz went after Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump by saying "I think it’s a disaster for the country because if Donald is the nominee, it makes it much, much more likely that Hillary Clinton wins the general." Cruz said the only answer is the "beat him at the ballot box," not at a brokered convention. Cruz also told ABC that he is "on a path to beating Donald Trump."

Cruz beat Trump in contests in seven different states. On Saturday night, Cruz almost swept the Republican caucuses in Wyoming. Cruz continued, "We're seeing Republicans uniting behind our campaign because we are the only candidate that is in position to beat Donald Trump, to earn 1,237 delegates and become the Republican nomination--nominee." He then stated that neither John Kasich nor Marco Rubio "have any possibility of beating Trump." Cruz added, "If you don't want to see Hillary Clinton as the presidential, then come join us."
