Coulter Lashes Out At Liberal Left For Crushing Free Speech At Berkeley

University of California, Berkeley, once a shining example of the importance of freedom of speech, has canceled another conservative's visit. The university fears more riots such as the ones that happened when Milo Yiannopoulos came to speak in February, and at a Trump rally held a couple of weeks ago. This conservative is not taking it lying down, however.

Ann Coulter, the political author and pundit, was scheduled to speak at Berkeley on Thursday but was shut down after the Young America's Foundation (YAF) pulled sponsorship. The so-called 'liberal' majority on campus are only liberal and in favor of rights for those who agree with them; anyone with an alternative viewpoint is villainized and promptly dumped in the same category as Nazis.

Coulter appeared on Fox News on Wednesday night and told host Sean Hannity, "We have YAF saying, 'Well we're going to strike a blow for the next speaker at Berkley.' No! I want to win now! Can the Republicans ever win now?" she said.

Coulter is angry with her party and the current POTUS for backing down. She complains that President Trump, who took such a hard stand on illegal immigration during his campaign, has backed down on the so-called 'dreamers'. The 'dreamers' are people who entered the country illegally as a minor. Former President Barack Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals policy gave minors a path to legal citizenship, which resulted in an explosion of unaccompanied children coming across the border.

"You have Donald Trump, he gives away DACA and then he doesn't get the wall," Coulter ranted. "Well, that'll show them how good he is, what a good humanitarian, by saying what a big heart he has for those Dreamers - the illegal aliens he promised to deport."

"Next time we'll get them!" she added mockingly.

Coulter then aimed her anger back at Berkeley. "All of the people who should have been standing up for the first amendment here ran away with their tails between their legs," she complained, saying that YAF not only backed down but stopped the College Republican National Committee from going to court over the matter.

The YAF claims they can't schedule a speech if the speaker's safety is at risk. "University of California Police Department at Berkeley has an official "stand-down" policy for any situation that develops on campus as long as the situation doesn’t involve the imminent loss of life, allowing the leftist thugs who have terrorized Berkeley’s campus to do so without consequence," they said in a statement.

Coulter later tweeted on the matter, saying, "I'm so sorry for free speech crushed by thugs."
