Conway: Clinton Can’t Blame Others For Email Problems

Hillary Clinton should accept responsibility for her email scandal, rather than making accusations about the FBI and others, Donald Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told CNN on Monday.

According to The Hill, the staffer said the Democratic presidential nominee “cannot blame the Trump campaign, cannot blame the (Republican National Committee), cannot blame the vast right-wing conspiracy.” Conway asserted: “It’s not about (FBI Director) Jim Comey. It’s not even about the FBI. They’re really at sea. They’re cursing the sky and it’s not working.”

Conway pointed out that the latest installment of the controversy began when the FBI investigated computer devices which former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner allegedly used to send sexually explicit pictures to a teen-aged girl. Weiner is the estranged husband of Clinton’s long-time top aide, Huma Abedin. Agents reportedly found some emails from Abedin concerning the candidate on the devices, prompting Comey to reopen the probe into whether Clinton or her staff compromised any classified government information while she was secretary of state.

Conway declared that Weiner and Clinton are “a couple of selfish people.” She lashed out at Clinton for “setting up that private email server and then lying about it, deleting emails, and then being reckless and careless, according to many people.” Conway continued: “The only reason you and I are having this conversation again — and the only reason there’s not one but two FBI investigations now — is because Anthony Weiner is texting pictures of himself to a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina.”
