Clinton Says Trump’s ‘Dangerous’ Proposals Would Not Have Prevented Orlando Massacre

Hillary Clinton lashed out Wednesday at Donald Trump for his response to Sunday morning’s mass shooting at an Orlando, Fla., nightclub, Breitbart News reported.

The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee argued that the Republican candidate’s proposals to ban Muslim immigration to the United States, monitor U.S. mosques, create a national database to track Muslims, build a wall along the Mexican border and deport 11 million undocumented immigrants are “just wrong” and “dangerous.”

“I want to emphasize and underline this,” Clinton said. “Of course we want to keep our country safe. Of course we want to work together in order to do that. That should go without saying. But … we rely on partners in majority Muslim countries to help us fight terrorists. We need to built trust in Muslim communities here at home to combat the lone-wolf phenomenon.”

The former secretary of state claimed that “not one of Donald Trump’s reckless ideas would have saved a single life in Orlando.” She explained: “The terrorist in Orlando was not born in Afghanistan, as Trump claims. He was born in Queens, New York, only miles away from where Donald Trump himself was born. A ban on Muslims would not have stopped this attack. Neither would a wall. I don’t know how one builds a wall to keep the Internet out. … It’s just more evidence that he is temperamentally unfit and totally unqualified to be commander in chief.”
