Clinton Campaign: Russia Trying to Help Trump with Email Leaks

The Clinton's campaign has accused Russia of leaking hacked emails on purpose from the Democratic National Committee to aid Republican Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election this fall.

Over the last few days, Wikileaks has posted emails that were denunciations of Clinton's primary rival, Bernie Sanders.

Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook commented in an interview on Sunday on CNN that experts are telling the campaign "Russian state actors" broke into the DNC's emails "in order to help Trump," and that other experts say these Russians are now selectively releasing the emails.

Mook continued to note: "Last week we saw that Trump made changes to be more pro-Russian and when you put all this together [it] is disturbing."

He went on to say it is no surprise the emails are coming out as the nominating convention in Philadelphia is just kicking off.

Officials stated recently that hackers thought to be working for two separate Russian intelligence agencies hacked into and were able to "read all e-mail and chat traffic" in the DNC network.

The intruders were eventually removed from DNC computer network. The Russian Embassy claimed to have no knowledge of the operation. Of note, no financial information was taken, which is further evidence this was a state-sponsored hacking job.

Also keep in mind that Putin has complimented Trump on several occasions, and Paul Manafort (Donald Trump's campaign chairman) has numerous business ties with Russians.
