Clinton Called 'Pathetic' For 'Losing Election She Rigged'

Hillary Clinton was ridiculed this week for rigging the Democratic primaries and still not winning the presidency.

Fox News’ Tomi Lahren said it is “pathetic” that the former secretary of state could not defeat Donald Trump. The conservative commentator asked why Clinton did not also try to rig the general election. She was reacting to revelations in a newly published book by former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile, who confirmed that the DNC conspired with the Clinton campaign to beat Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in the battle for the party’s 2016 nomination.

Referring to Clinton’s book about the White House race, “What Happened,” Lahren declared: “We’re obsessed with Hillary because Hillary is obsessed with Hillary.” She noted that “there are still people protesting the election,” even though “it’s been almost a year now” since enough voters chose Trump to allow the real-estate mogul to win. Though Clinton received nearly 3 million more votes, she lost in the Electoral College. “I think we’ve accepted it,” Lahren said. “I’m wondering when the other side of the aisle is going to accept it. Day in, day out, that’s all we hear.”

Clinton has been making speeches and doing interviews to boost sales of her book. She blames various factors for her loss, which shocked many political pundits because polls indicated she was ahead of Trump. She agrees with U.S. intelligence agencies that have accused Russian leader Vladimir Putin of ordering last summer’s cyberattacks on her campaign chairman and the Democratic National Committee. The stolen emails, which WikiLeaks released, contained evidence of collusion between party officials and Clinton’s staff.

Putin also allegedly was responsible for anti-Clinton propaganda and other “fake news” that appeared on social media during the race, and may have directed the hacking of U.S. voter-registration systems. A congressional committee is looking into whether Russian operatives attacked voting machines, as well.

Clinton claims former FBI Director James Comey affected the outcome of the election by persisting in his investigation of the private email server she used while heading the State Department. While Comey did not advise the Justice Department to file charges against Clinton, he proclaimed that she had been “extremely careless” in handling classified government information. Less than two weeks before voters went to the polls, the bureau chief re-opened the investigation because agents found Clinton-related emails on computer devices that her long-time aide, Huma Abedin, used.

Another target of Clinton’s wrath is Sanders, whom she says “impugned (her) character” when he criticized her corporate campaign contributions and lavish speaking fees. The senator financed his campaign with small donations from millions of supporters. Another reason Trump won, according to Clinton, is misogyny. She has said that many Americans are still not willing to accept a woman as president.

Clinton continues to insist that she has no interest in running for public office again, after having lost two presidential bids. She rejected rumors that she considered challenging New York City’s incumbent mayor in this year’s Democratic primary. Sanders is considered one of the front-runners for the party’s presidential nomination in 2020.
