Chelsea Clinton Goes After Trump Again - Did Not Expect This Response

Chelsea Clinton is playing Twitter cop on President Donald Trump again. The former First Daughter has taken some time out of her jam-packed schedule to point out the error of his ways - again. However, she may have a point this time - if you buy into the fact that the commander-in-chief is personally blocking users on social media, that is. As People shares, Chelsea has cried foul that POTUS has blocked a user on Twitter. And the President had an unexpected reaction- he did nothing at all.

It also seems that Chelsea has taken umbrage with a recent GIF that was shared by the president. In that viral gem, Trump can be seen hitting a golf ball long and hard. That golf ball hits Hillary Clinton and leads to one of her pratfalls. While many observers found it amusing, there were others that did not. We’ll safely include Chelsea in that camp, but that’s not the only reason she has a bee in her bonnet at the moment.

“The President shared a GIF of him hitting a golf ball at my mother & I didn’t block him (though I did wish he had been focused on the UN),” she shared.

So what the heck was she talking about this time? Turns out that a user named Laura Packard was blocked from Trump’s social media account. The 41-year-old woman is a cancer patient from Las Vegas, and it appears that she’s been trying to get the attention of the commander-in-chief.

“Omg. The President of the United States just personally blocked me,” she wrote.

The outlet ThinkProgress reached out to her for some thoughts, and she had plenty to say.

“I didn’t sleep too well because of the cancer,” she said. “But I don’t know if he just woke up on the wrong side of the bed today or what.”

While it certainly appears threat the president has free rein on his Twitter account - see his various ramblings and misspellings for reference - we’re going to go out on a limb and assume that he may have some help when it comes to managing followers and whatnot. The president literally has millions of followers. We would imagine his timeline is the equivalent of a hot mess. As such, it seems incredibly unlikely that he has the time on his hands to read each and every tweet that heads in his direction.

We could be way off the mark here, but that sounds like the most logical conclusion. In any event, Packard had more to say.

“I just wish that he would listen,” she said. “He said [during the campaign] he would come up with something that was great and was going to cover everybody, and [Republicans] keep coming up with bills that are the exact opposite. He’s definitely not listening to me now.”

We sincerely hope that Packard gets the answers that she’s looking for as she battles the dreaded disease. Those with major health concerns do not need insurance or financial stresses on their plates as well. There should be nothing short of mandatory escalation for those in such circumstances to have their questions answered and addressed by insurance companies and medical practitioners.
