Celeb Gets Rude Awakening After Demanding Trump Open The Borders

Author J.K. Rowling shied away from the media for years. Even at the height of the Harry Potter frenzy, the author only seemed to step into the limelight when her publishers pushed her into it. Ever since America elected President Donald Trump, however, Rowling, a former journalist, has found her voice. She's been a vocal critic on social media, but some people are calling for her to put her money where her mouth is.

When President Trump made efforts to tighten immigration in America, Rowling took to social media to complain a lot. The author advocated passionately for open borders and blasting anyone with a different opinion. Now, a petition online is challenging Rowling to prove she's not a hypocrite.

The petition suggests Rowling to open her 18-bedroom home to refugees, and to provide space on her sprawling property to build housing for refugees.

"She is well-known advocate of open borders and often stated, that Europe has the duty to give every single one of these refugees from all over the middle east, rarely warzones, asylum and welfare. Everyone who represented a different opinion was viciously attacked by her, and she is not alone," writes Marcus Aurelius, a Frenchman, on the Change.org petition.

The petition calls out Rowling, and wealthy liberals like her, for their 'generosity' and 'compassion' towards those from foreign lands. It's easy for wealthy celebrities who live in a bubble to call for open borders. They'll never have to live in poor neighborhoods with refugees, where there are often tensions and high crimes. Even if it's a very small percent of immigrants who might be violent, dangerous and resentful of their new country, celebrities who live in gated mansions with state-of-the-art security systems, and who travel by limo with body guards, will never have to put themselves or their loved ones in harm's way. Celebrities like Rowling will never have to compete for public resources, housing or minimum-wage jobs when.

"The refugee crisis will require 250000 homes to be built every year in her homeland Britain. Helping refugees in Europe will cost 10 times as much as helping them in neighbouring countries would. Donations by the superrich, even in the millions, are a drop in the ocean, as the taxpayer will have to pay billions for the following decades," the petition reads. "Elites, that echo the MSM narrative, defending open borders, are hypocrites that will never share the outlook of the working class, which has to encounter refugees every day. So let's bring one of the loudest virtue-signaling apologists of globalism back to reality and give her some new roommates."

So far, nearly 40,000 people have signed the petition. No word from Rowling yet, who has deliberately ignored its existence.
