Carson: Stop Judging Trump

Christians and conservatives should “not judge” Donald Trump harshly because of his tendency to make derogatory comments about women, Ben Carson argued on Sunday.

The Hill reported that the retired neurosurgeon, a former contender for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination who has since endorsed Trump, explained: “As a Christian, what I do is not judge everybody; and that seems to be something that a lot of people have got into. ‘I’m better than you are.’ Give me a break. Let’s just stop for a moment; and I’m talking to conservatives.”

Carson claimed that the real-estate mogul “elevated” many women by hiring them for top positions in his business long before some executives “began to recognize the value of women.” Instead of worrying about Trump’s numerous sexist and hateful comments targeting women over the years, voters should focus on “what we have to do” as a nation, according to the doctor.

“What your feelings are personally about a person is irrelevant,” he said. “What we need to be talking about is your children and your grandchildren’s future. Think about that and make the right choice.” Carson went on to blast the news media, alleging that reporters are not “on the side of the people.”
