Carson: President Doesn't Have To Enforce Supreme Court Rulings

GOP Presidential candidate Ben Carson wants the United States to review the 1803 landmark case of Marbury v. Madison that states a president must enforce laws the Supreme Court finds unconstitutional. On "Fox News Sunday," Carson was asked whether the executive branch is obligated to enforce those types of laws. Carson replied "We need to get into a discussion of this because it has changed from the original intent." Carson said the president is only obligated to carry out laws passed by Congress, not "judicial laws" from the court. On another topic, Carson said he would not rule out military force against Russia, saying, "I would, obviously, do that in consultation with very competent generals and people who are more knowledgeable in that area than I would be. But, clearly, if the interest and the existence and the safety of the people of the United States was at stake — and that was the only way to protect them — of course, I would do whatever was necessary."
