Brad Pitt Makes Prediction About Future Under Trump Leaves Millions Outraged

President Donald Trump’s decision to remove the United States from the non-binding Paris Climate Change agreement has sparked a ton of intense reactions. While it’s certainly a decision that can be debated, some have treated it as if it’s the end of life on Earth as we know it. There has been a countless number of hyperbolic and over-the-top reactions, and that’s not helping to advance the debate in any way, shape or form. In fact, it’s helping to push those that disagree with that sentiment even further away.

Several deep breaths, some soothing music, and perhaps a nice warm beverage seem to be in order for those that have engaged in the most fear-mongering - once they take a break from attempting to scare the daylights out of everyone else, that is. Among the opinions offered up have been that children with asthma are going to start dying, natural disasters will intensify, and that our grandchildren will not be likely to have fresh air to breath when they reach adulthood.

That’s not just over the top, it’s downright irresponsible. All of these things will start happening because Trump pulled the US out of a non-binding agreement that countries are not obligated to follow at all? Think about that. Could there be some issues caused in the future by climate change? Absolutely, that’s certainly possible. But to suggest that will be because of the nation leaving an agreement that doesn’t carry much weight to begin with is ridiculous.

For those that feel passionately about climate change, there’s plenty of other ways to get your point across without making others wonder whether you have recently experienced some sort of head trauma. As the Huffington Post shares, Comedy Central’s Jim Jefferies just offered up an awesome example on how to do so during a recent show.

“The world is still grappling with Trump withdrawing from the Paris accord,” Jefferies said. “We wanted to address it one more time before we say goodnight. To help us understand climate change and what it means to the world, here’s our own Jim Jefferies Show weatherman.”

The camera would pan to actor Brad Pitt, who would deliver his forecast for the future.

“Things are going to be getting warmer in this area here and this area here,” Pitt said, as he pointed to a map that was completely red and orange.

The bit was a hit, and it allowed Jefferies - and Pitt - to get their points across without being all preachy and unhinged about it. Was it slightly over the top due to the doom and gloom aspect? Sure, but they may have more success bringing people closer to their line of thinking as a result of how they handled it. As for the future, weather man Pitt offered up a simple reply.

“There is no future,” he said.

Once again, point taken. If we don’t do something about this issue, there may be some problems. Is that really so hard to say without spouting off about a bunch of predictions that are impossible to prove?
