Boehner Demands Obama ‘Denounce’ Planned Parenthood

Secretly filmed videos of a Planned Parenthood doctor discussing the organization’s sale of fetal tissues are “sickening, disturbing and callous,” according to House Speaker John Boehner.

The Ohio Republican called on President Obama to come out against the organization’s practices, according to Breitbart News.

“It’s now clear that Planned Parenthood allows this horrifying conduct to happen throughout its organization,” Boehner declared in a written statement after the anti-abortion Center for Medical Progress released a second video of the doctor’s conversation with actors pretending to be buyers of body parts.

When the first video surfaced last week, Boehner demanded that Congress “investigate these gruesome practices.” He told Breitbart that “the House Energy, Commerce and Judiciary committees have begun immediate investigations and I look forward to their prompt and thorough action.”

The speaker’s statement ended with an appeal to the president. “Obama still has not denounced these horrific practices, he wrote. “He has a responsibility to also speak out immediately and stop these practices now.”

Planned Parenthood officials explained that they accept donations from medical research groups for tissues and organs from aborted fetuses. Each body sells for between $30 and $100, which merely helps cover expenses, according to the organization.
