Bishop Shocks Everyone By Asking Catholics To Do This To Trump

A San Diego Catholic bishop is calling all Catholics to action against President Donald Trump. According to the bishop, Catholics must become 'disrupters' to thwart the president's efforts to fulfill his campaign promises.

Bishop Robert McElroy addressed the World Meeting of Popular Movements regional gathering to slam President Trump and motivate resistance.

“President Trump was the candidate of disruption. He was the disrupter,” said McElroy. “Well, now we must all become disrupters.”

The bishop spoke for 20 minutes about the present being a 'pivotal moment' for U.S. citizens, and how divisiveness threatens to 'pollute' the nations dialogue. As a solution for the division, McElroy proposes arbitrary opposition to anything that the president says or does. He's urging people refuse to unite under President Trump.

“We must disrupt those who would seek to send troops into our streets to deport the undocumented, to rip mothers and fathers from their families,” McElroy said. “We must disrupt those who portray refugees as enemies, rather than our brothers and sisters in terrible need. We must disrupt those who train us to see Muslim men and women and children as sources of fear rather than as children of God.”

“We must disrupt those who seek to rob our medical care, especially from the poor. We must disrupt those who would take even food stamps and nutrition assistance from the mouths of children,” the bishop continued.

McElroy also slammed conservative media outlets as a threat to public opinion and discourse. He railed against capitalism and free market economies as well. “Let all the world know that this economy kills,” he said, advocating a raise in minimum wage.

The liberal bishop's opinions are in staunch opposition to Saint John Paul II, particularly those expressed in his 'Centesimus Annus' letter that viewed economic freedom and human dignity as two things that went hand in hand. The former pope advocated capitalism and free enterprise, even though he felt they needed some reform.
