Benghazi Hero Blasts Former FBI Director James Comey With Scathing Tweet

Former U.S. Army Ranger and CIA security contractor known for his part during the 2012 terrorist attack on Benghazi dropped an explosive tweet aimed at former FBI Director James Comey and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

In the wake of McCabe's resignation, Comey Tweeted a backhanded insult at President Donald Trump. For the American hero, that just didn't fly.

The investigation into the Trump campaign's collusion with Russia is becoming more of a tangled mess with just about every passing day.

Democrats were sure that the investigation would turn up something that would put the final nail in Trump's presidency, resulting in removal from office or pushing him into a resignation.

Instead, it's implicated a number of insiders who have been accused of inappropriate partisan behavior and obstruction of justice.

Dramatic news broke on Monday when FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe announced that he was resigning. Pressure mounted on McCabe after text messages between FBI officials that allegedly show bias came to light.

The President himself had called out McCabe over the issue, something that didn't sit well with McCabe's friend and former colleague, James Comey.

Trump fired Comey months ago, claiming the attorney general and deputy attorney general recommended he do so because of the way Comey handled the investigation into the Clinton email scandal.

The White House insisted that the firing had nothing to do with the investigation into whether Trump's campaign team colluding with Russia, but many Democrats were not convinced and found the timing suspicions.

Comey has remained bitter. McCabe had taken over for Comey as acting Director of the FBI.

After he announced he would be resigning, Comey tweeted, "Special Agent Andrew McCabe stood tall over the last 8 months, when small people were trying to tear down an institution we all depend on. He served with distinction for two decades. I wish Andy well. I also wish continued strength for the rest of the FBI. America needs you."

One of those 'small people' Comey mentioned is presumed to be President Trump, who had criticized McCabe over the alleged bias.

Kris Paronto shot back at Comey's tweet. "Served with corruption and zero integrity, just like you James. Go away, and take your fake patriotism with you," he responded.

Paronto was part of the CIA annex security team that moved in after the terror attacks that took the lives of four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stephens, in 2012. After leaving the CIA, Paronto wrote '13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened In Benghazi'.

The movie '13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi' was based off the book.

Paronto has been highly critical of Comey and the FBI in the handling of Clinton. Comey didn’t take notes when questioning Clinton, he allowed her to ignore subpoenas to submit thousands of emails sent and received on an illegal server, and even agreed to destroying a number of devices that many felt were evidence of illegal activity.

"Our liberty depends on FBI directors having some integrity by enforcing laws to include national security violations, not leaking need to know info to the left wing press & not colluding with democratic political candidates #corrupt," he tweeted back in November.
