Ben Carson Wining with Minimal Campaign

While his campaign appears to be in chaos, Ben Carson is still one of the top contenders in the Republican race. With is deputy campaign manager quitting to go back to his farm, his general counsel on a safari and the chairman leaving as soon as Carson announced his candidacy, Carson’s campaign would seem to be failing; yet, as the polls show, the opposite is true.

Despite it all, Carson is still traveling and giving paid speeches. In fact, it seems as though his total lack of concern is actually paying off in the polls, which can be seen by the most recent numbers.

In a recent poll from Monmouth University, Ben Carson is at 11 percent, with Jeb Bush trailing behind at nine percent. Other candidates worth mentioning from this poll including with a notable following and level of support include Mike Huckabee with eight percent of poll support and Scott Walker at 10 percent. A surprise to most is the fact that Rand Paul has six percent of poll support, which is considerably more than his father achieved during the previous election.

Even though it is still quite early and the actual meaningful votes not being seen until January of 2016, the placement of Ben Carson is quite impressive, considering his staffing issues. The effort he has made thus far – of not campaigning at all – seems to be paying off. In fact, he has jumped a total of four points in the polls since he started this ‘non-campaign.’
