Ben Carson Says It Would Be A 'Disaster' If Donald Trump Or Ted Cruz Do Not Win The Republican Nomination

Former Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson predicted "major" problems on Monday if Donald Trump or Ted Cruz do not win the Republican nomination.

Carson said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," "If it's not Sen. Cruz or Mr. Trump ... you're going to create so much friction. And, of course, that'll be a wonderful thing for the Democrats, there's no question about that, they will absolutely love, they'll be dancing in the street."

Carson went on to state that he would support the nominee of the process was fair. He said, "If we end up with a contested convention and things work out in a different way and it seems fair, then of course you're going to support whoever the nominee is. But things must be open, they must be fair and they must be apparent."

He added, "I would not be enthusiastic about whoever it was if it wasn't one of the people who spent all of this time, all of this effort, all of this resource in order to get there and then we tossed them out."
