Ben Carson Not Quitting Presidential Race

On CNN's "The Lead," presidential candidate Ben Carson declared that he was not abandoning his White House Run.

He said, “I’m getting a lot of pressure to stay in the race. I respect that and I’m not just going to walk away from the millions of people supporting me.” In addition, Carson discussed Carly Fiorina and Gov. Chris Christie's exits by saying, “I’m sorry to see them go, but certainly understand that there are other pressures that might interject themselves into their decision making."

The next Republican primary is Feb. 20, and he said “I think I can win South Carolina. You’ll see. I have put a lot of time, effort and resources here and I think we’ll do extraordinarily well. As more people see and hear me, I think those numbers will turn around.”

Carson received the second-least votes in the New Hampshire primary, with 2.3 percent. He only beat former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore. In South Carolina, Carson ranks fifth.
