Army Veteran Harassed by Group With Ties To Political Family

Recently, a Political Action Committee (PAC), with ties to the Clinton's harassed George Rice, a U.S. Army Veteran with the prestigious 10th Mountain Division. The reason? Rice exposed the Border Health PAC through his social media networks. The group has been politically active with an effort to create a hospital taxing district in the Rio Grande Valley.

Earlier this week, Rice made a phone video outside of the Border Health PAC offices where he attempted to explain the layers of connections that linked the group to recent elections in various border cities. Officials with the Border Health PAC called McAllen police citing harassment on Facebook. In the video, the officer said he was there because the Border Health PAC called to complain about his Facebook posts. Rice then responded:

“I have nothing but the utmost respect for law enforcement and I know they were just doing their job. But this is harassment on the part of the Border Health PAC. There is too much money at stake for them and they are basically being schoolyard bullies.”

The hospital district was voted down by local residents in November 2014. After the defeat, Democratic State Senator Chuy Hinojosa and Democratic State Representative Bobby Guerra have been pushing for it through a legislative bill. The Border Health PAC has also been trying to get friendly candidates elected. On their board of directors is construction magnate Alonzo Cantu who is described as one of the biggest backers behind the Clinton fundraising machine.
