Antonio Sabato Jr. Is Not Pleased With Liberals, And He's Looking To Do Something About It

One can complain about the state of politics and sit idly by while doing nothing about it, or one can rise up and see what they can do about changing things. That’s the tactic that Antonio Sabato Jr. is taking.

The actor is none too pleased with the state of politics in California, so he’s decided to see what he can do to clean things up. If you’re thinking this is another liberal entertainer that’s just spouting off at the mouth, think again.

Sabato is a Republican and proud of it. What’s more, he’s quite concerned that liberal politics are "destroying the state" that he calls home. As Fox News Insider shares, Sabato is now running for Congress.

One of his biggest bones of contention is with the whole concept of sanctuary cities. As the child of immigrants, he knows the struggles that come along with making your way in a new home, but he notes that there’s a correct way to go about things.

Sabato has also pointed out that one million immigrants manage to enter the country through legal means every year.

“I am Proud to be an American, we came here legally and done things right, it took time, money effort Sacrifices and so much more,” he shared on social media. “Thank you to my Parents for showing me & my sister what hard work dedication and the American dream is all About. #MAGA #BuildTheWall”

Sabato was particularly taken aback by the not guilty verdict in the Kate Steinle murder trial. An immigrant that had previously been deported five times was charged as the responsible party, and there was rather clear-cut evidence that he was the one that fired the gun and disposed of it before taking off.

The jury let him off in a verdict that completely shocked a countless number of observers, as the defense contended that it was nothing more than a freak accident. Sabato offered up some thoughts to Fox News in the wake of the verdict.

"We shouldn't have any sanctuary cities or sanctuary neighborhoods or sanctuary states whatsoever," he said. "We shouldn't change that. We should change the fact that these sanctuary cities do not work. And I urge the feds to step up and do something about it, because my county is never going to be sanctuary in any shape or form. Over my dead body. It's never going to happen."

The congressional candidate added that he’s in favor of a bill that’s been introduced by Rep. Todd Rokita (R-IN), which would imprison and fine local officials who obstruct federal immigration enforcement.

"It's going to take some time and a lot of effort, but we can fight this, because the American people are fed up," he added.

Sabato has offered up some rather interesting perspective on things, and his family should serve as an example for immigrants to follow on what’s possible for those that enter the country the right way and fight for their piece of the American dream.
