Another GOP Presidential Hopeful Blasts Megyn Kelly

Fox News host Megyn Kelly on Tuesday challenged Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz on his proposal to deport the estimated 11 million immigrants living illegally in the United States.

“If you have a husband and wife who are illegal immigrants, and they have two children here who are American citizens, would you deport all of them? Would you deport the American-citizen children?” Kelly asked.

The Texas senator replied: “Megyn, I get that that’s the question you want to ask. That’s also the question every mainstream media liberal journalist wants to ask.”

After Kelly inquired, “Is it an unfair question?” Cruz said: “It is a distraction from how we actually solve the problem. You know, it’s also the question that Barack Obama wants to focus on.” The Fox News host continued to press the candidate, asking him: “But why is it so hard? Why don’t you just say yes or no?”

Cruz then repeated his earlier calls for enhanced border security and repeal of President Obama’s executive actions on immigration. He also criticized the Constitution’s 14th Amendment, which grants citizenship to children of illegal migrants who are born in the United States, The Hill reported.

The news blog noted that Kelly previously clashed with another GOP presidential contender, front-runner Donald Trump. The billionaire businessman ridiculed her during and after the first Republican candidates’ debate.
