12 Year Old Conservative Kicked Off Facebook For Questioning Obama

A recent video, featuring 12-year-old black conservative C.J. Pearson, became an Internet sensation; the video also resulted in his suspension from Facebook. According to Pearson, this occurred due to his political views.

Pearson lives in Georgia, and he made quite an impact after acquiring more than a million views on a YouTube video he created asking President Obama whether or not he really loved America. After becoming an Internet hit, Pearson claims that Facebook locked his account because they were afraid of his views.

Last Friday, he discovered that he could no longer share any posts on his page. He then requested that Alan Davidson, his editor, announce to the public what had taken place. Pearson also stated that he requested for his editor to make posts on his behalf while Facebook had him locked out.

He continued to say that while the 1st amendment may not be a huge concern for those at Facebook, he will continue to fight back. However, Facebook has stated that the lockout on Pearson’s account does not have any direct relation to his political views. The company instead points to the user agreement to explain the reasoning for this action.

In the user agreement it states that page administrators have to be 13 years of age, and Pearson is only 12. According to the statement released by Facebook, Pearson was locked out because he lied about his age, not because of his political views. Pearson believes Facebook is just using that rhetoric as an excuse.
