Woman Injects Herself With 3.5-Million-Year-Old Bacteria In Hopes Of Beating The Aging Process

A German woman began injecting herself with a bacteria Russian scientist found in 2009. These injections are not legal and no doctor is performing this procedure, the woman is experimenting on her own because she's willing to take the risk. She appeared on the popular UK morning talk show 'This Morning' to share her experience, and why she's doing it.

The woman, known only as Manoush, is an actress from Germany who wants to defy the aging process. She says her mother began having children when she was in her 40s, and Manoush remembers watching her mother practically falling apart as she aged. This has created a fear in Manoush, and she's willing to do anything to prevent it from happening to her.

Manoush tried many plastic surgery procedures in order to retain her youth. She's had so many she says she lost count. She's had several eye surgeries, nose jobs, face lifts, lip injections, chemical peels and breast enhancements. She's spent more than $50,000 on plastic surgery in the past year, but many of her surgeries have been botched and needed re-doing, and none of them have been helping her to avoid the inevitable ravages of time.

For Manoush, it's not just about looks; it's about remaining young, vibrant and healthy for as long as she lives.

"Aging is like a disease," she says.

A friend of hers, a scientist, told her that he might have found the fountain of youth, and it's not in Florida. He told her he has a 3.5-million-year-old bacteria that he believes is the secret to eternal youth.

Bacillus F is a bacterium that was discovered in the permafrost of Siberia, and they have the ability to regenerate themselves and remain alive for millions of years. People who live in the area, who consume the bacteria in their water, have a startlingly long life span. It is an area of the world known for longevity.

When the scientist started injecting the bacteria into rats, he noted a difference in their health and vitality.

Manoush offered herself up as a human guinea pig. Because no doctor can legally inject her with the bacteria, she gives herself the injections. She says she's gotten good results since she began the injections.

“My skin is as soft as a baby’s bottom,” she said. “You can’t really see it in the photos but if you see me in person you can see there are no marks or blemishes. I have never felt better. I have never slept better, deeper or longer.”

The host of 'This Morning' encouraged her to share her age, stating that without before and after photos, it's hard to gauge by looking at her whether the risk is worth it. She only would reveal at first that she was 'well over 40'.

When the host suggested she was 50, she became horrified and admitted she was 48.

What the bacteria is doing to her insides is not really known, but on the surface, she looks her age. She admits that her feeling better after the bacteria could be due to a placebo effect.
