Pat Sajak Has A Message For Celebs That Constantly Espouse Political Viewpoints

In the runup to the 2016 presidential election, a gaggle of celebs made it crystal clear that they were completely behind Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. The overwhelming support from the jet set crowd wasn’t enough to help Clinton bust through the proverbial glass ceiling that she so desperately wanted to shatter. President Donald Trump scored a monumental upset for the ages, and Clinton supporters were left with some uncomfortable realities to mull over.

After most presidential elections, the losing side will do just that and move on with their lives. To say that hasn’t happened thus far would be an understatement of epic proportions.

There’s a whole host of Clinton supporters that just aren’t willing to accept the results, and they remain as vocal in opposition to Trump as they were at the height of the campaign. Many celebrities are at the top of the list in that regard, and it seems like opposition to Trump has turned into an obsession for them.

As AWM shares, not all celebs feel that way, but the ones that don’t agree with the constant sermonizing tend to keep quiet about it. It’s no secret that the entertainment industry swings really hard to the Left, and those that may not swing that way keep their feelings hush-hush so as not to rock the boat. There have been reports that conservative members of the entertainment industry risk substantial backlash if they go against the grain.

That doesn’t sound all that inclusive from an industry that portrays itself as the moral compass of America, but thankfully there are some personalities that are established enough that they don’t have to worry about the nonsense. Long-time ‘Wheel of Fortune’ host Pat Sajak falls into that category, and he’s dropped some gems on social media aimed at calling out the absurdity of the constant sermonizing from celebs.

“OK, let me explain this again: We’re celebs. We’re wiser & more empathetic than you. We are famous. Please take our opinions more seriously,” he wrote in one post.

Sajak has provided some interesting food for thought for his famous colleagues on a number of different occasions.

“Nobody abhors violence more than Hollywood, and nobody does more to glorify it,” he wrote.

“I wonder if the celebrities who moved out of the country will return for the demonstrations,” read another of his comments.

He’s also taken the time to call out the current state of awards shows, which have evolved into decidedly anti-Trump celebrations.

“Looking forward to the next awards show/lecture,” Sajak wrote.
“Unhappy about results of last week’s People’s Choice Awards. Thinking of breaking Starbucks windows & trashing limos,” he posted.

Sajak’s takes are obviously a lot different than what usually emanates from celebs, but it’s a clear sign that not every person in the industry thinks, acts, and feels the same way. Many in the industry attempt to portray it as if they all do, but that’s a statistical impossibility. Using another industry for an example, would anyone expect all plumbers in the world to think the exact same way?

Of course not. In fact, to suggest such a thing could even be deemed insulting.

It’s refreshing to see a famous face that’s comfortable enough to veer away from the herd and share how he really feels about things. Who knows, maybe Sajak’s pointed commentary will inspire other celebs to do the same.
