Michelle Obama Announced What She Will Do After Leaving The White House

Imagine having someone watching over you wherever you go, and not being able to leave your home with a full crew of people. That’s what life is like for First Lady Michelle Obama. And she is looking forward to the day when that kind of life is over.

According to Your Nation News, Obama sat down with Oprah to talk about how she’s looking forward to the simple pleasures of civilian life, like being able to open the front door and walk out of her house without telling anyone. Or being able to open a window in her home, which is forbidden at The White House.

Being a woman in the spotlight, Obama has had to deflect lots of naysayers, and gave some advice to young girls to “surround yourself with goodness.”

"I learned early on how to get the haters out of my life,” she Tweeted. “You’ve got to just sort of surround yourself with people who uplift you, who hold you up."

Obama said she’s also looking forward to being able to run into a Target or CVS to do some shopping, but she made need a refresher in how to do simple things like go through a checkout line or use an ATM machine. Though initially, she wasn’t thrilled about her husband became president, she said being First Lady was one of the greatest phases of her life.
