Ivanka Trump Reminds Us She's A Loving Mom With Video Of Son's First Steps

Parents of little ones have a ton of different milestones to look forward to. The first year of a baby's life is chock full of them, but that’s just the beginning of a whole lifetime of them. It can be tough to see that far ahead when you have little ones, but the time goes by before you know it. That’s part of what makes all of them seem so special and monumental, and some of them stand out even more than the others. Ivanka Trump just had one of those moments with her youngest son, Theodore, and she’s shared some adorable video of what happened.

As Today shares, the little man has taken his first steps. The proud mom was thankfully home for the monumental event, and she couldn’t wait to share what happened.

“Big night for baby Theodore. He took his first steps!” she shared.

It’s a really cute clip that will bring those with older ones back a ways. Ivanka can be seen guiding her little one to go even further, and she tells him to “walk to mommy,” all while making sure he doesn’t topple over. Theodore will be a pro before he knows it, and that’s a game changer for a parent. Things will be a bit more challenging once he can walk wherever he pleases, and curiosity has a way of getting the cat.

For a family that’s in the spotlight so much, it’s fascinating to get a glimpse behind the curtain, so to speak. Little things like this help humanize things, and it makes you stop and think about how they’re really just regular people like the rest of us. Of course, the circumstances for Ivanka and company are a bit different than the rest of us, but she’s nonetheless a mom first and foremost.

It’s undoubtedly been a pretty tough transition to pack up the family and move to the nation’s capital. Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, has assumed a role in the White House, and Ivanka is also on board in an unofficial capacity. The couple has two other children, daughter Arabella, age 5, and son Joseph, age 3. All three of them will be sprouting up even more before Ivanka and Jared know what’s hit them, and that brings its own set of challenges to the parenting experience. Judging from afar, it looks like Ivanka will handle things just fine.
