Woman Stopped By Cop- Quickly Realizes Something Isn't Right

A number of women were stopped by a police officer, and they could not shake the feeling that something was off. Because they came forward, justice has been served. A man from California who decided that the best way to cop a feel from women was to impersonate a police officer has been sentenced to 115 years in prison. Officers say that there are at least two known victims, and there may be more.

Christoph Moore would stop women in Hollywood in November of 2015 and tell them that he was a police officer. He would then show them a badge and 'frisk' the victim, which would escalate into sexual groping. One victim claims that he even pulled out a handgun and threatened her.

The problem is, the 41-year-old man from Anaheim, California was never a police officer. He was impersonating cops to sexually assault women.

One of the victims was a foreign exchange student. Moore 'stopped' her by her front door. He followed her home after witnessing her giving a homeless man a bag of potato chips. He accused her of giving the man drugs, and ordered the student to put her hands against the wall. When she complied, he put his hands on her breasts. She struggled and Moore pulled out a gun.

The other woman had just parked her car in front of her home. Moore walked up to the car before she even got out and told her she was missing her registration tags. He told her to get out of the car and put her hands against the wall. He then groped her thighs and buttocks. He bumped into another car and triggered an alarm, which caused him to flee.

That same year, in October, Moore was accused of locking himself inside of a store with the female owner. He identified himself as a detective and insisted on seeing her business papers. He ordered the woman to go into the bathroom and forced her to take off her clothes. When she refused, he pulled out a gun. Thankfully, the woman's ex-husband arrived and interrupted the assault. Moore fled the scene when he heard someone knock.

In one of his attacks, Moore was caught on home surveillance video. The video played on local news stations and someone recognized the suspect. An anonymous tip helped lead police to Moore's home, and the man was arrested.

Mr. Moore faced felony charges of assault with intent to commit a sexual assault, criminal threats, grand theft, second-degree burglary, and two counts of false imprisonment by violence. He was also charged with misdemeanors, including three counts of unlawful use of a badge and one count of sexual battery.

Moore had prior convictions for robbery and assault with intent to commit rape, and he was already a registered sex offender.

Moore was convicted on all counts, and a judge just sentenced him to 115 years to life in prison, which means the repeated sex offender will never be out on the streets again. Women all over California can now breathe a small sigh of relief.
