Woman Arrested for Affair with Married Son, Police Discover Secret Messages

It’s safe to say that relations have become strained among the members of this family in Weaverville, NC, and that’s directly the result of a strange relationship that has come to light.

According to the MailOnline, a mother and her married adult son have been arrested for having sex - with each other - on at least one occasion.

Melissa 'Missy' Kitchens, 44, and her son, 25-year-old Shaun Thomas Pfeiffer, are facing felony incest charges after their encounter captured the attention of the authorities. It’s unclear exactly how the authorities became involved, but some unusual posts on Facebook are providing some potential clues on the strange relationship between mother and son.

“Just trying To Brighten The Mood---- Things are Very Stressful and I Love You and I Respect Any Decision--- As Long as your Happy and Safe.......... I miss you& wish I had more time w you...... Your Very Valuable and Hopefully The Stresses---- Will get better,” Kitchens wrote in one comment to her son.

Pfeiffer, who is married with a toddler son, was the subject of another post, this time from his wife, Shannon Roman.

“When you truly care for someone, their mistakes never change your feelings because it's the mind that gets angry but the heart still cares,” she wrote.

Incest in North Carolina carries a prison sentence of up to 41 months. Both parties are being held on bond and will appear before the court later this month.
