Teen Presses Record On Phone - What It Captures Leaves Officers Horrified

A teen managed to record evidence of a terrible crime.

A teen girl who was raped by a friend in his apartment could see what was coming, and managed to record an audio of the incident on her phone. She could be heard turning down the young man's advances and pleading with him to stop throughout the encounter. Afterward, the rapist could be heard trying to bully her into staying silent about the incident.

Rhys Roser, a 24-year-old man from London, is facing charges of rape. A 19-year-old friend who was visiting him turned down his advances, so Roser sexually assaulted her in the bathroom of his home. Audio of the entire incident was caught on the victim's phone, including Roser warning her afterwards, "Don't f--king tell anyone."

According to reports, Roser started making advances toward the victim, began bullying her and grabbing her. "He grabbed her by the arm, torso and neck, and the more aggressive he became the more aroused he got," said Peter Clement, the prosecutor, to Harrow Crown Court.

Roser allegedly told the victim he had a 'free pass' to have sex with her. The victim burst into tears and pleaded with Roser to 'shut up and leave her alone'. She got away from him and locked herself in the bathroom.

Roser managed to talk his way into the bathroom, where the girl was trapped. "He locked the bathroom door and pushed her into the shower. He pulled her head back and bent her left arm behind her back," said Clement.

The teen was then raped. The audio recording captured her frantic cries and pleas.

After the assault, the two returned to the bedroom. The cell phone was still recording audio. In the bedroom, Roser began putting pressure on the victim to remain quiet about the incident.

"I was wrong in every way," he admitted to his victim, according to the audio evidence. "I shouldn’t have done that. I don’t know what came over me."

"Don’t tell anyone please. You don’t want to do the whole court thing. You’re not going to stand up in court and tell everyone you were raped – way too embarrassing," he told the teen. "You were kinda sexy because you had wetness on your face. That’s the one thing that’s going to ruin my life. Don’t fucking tell anyone, it’s real simple."

The victim said that the rape had a 'staggering effect' on her life in a statement more than a year after the incident. She said she was suffering from depression, insomnia and anxiety. She was having nightmares, night terrors and flashbacks of the incident.

Roser was convicted and sentenced to seven years and eight months in jail. "You were heard saying that you had gone mad and were wrong in every way, and went on to plead with her not to report what happened and put pressure on her," said court recorder Matthew Lowe to Roser. "She describes it as emotional blackmail. What you did to her that night has had significant psychological and emotional effects.”
