Wax Figure of First Lady Is Unveiled, As People Put Words In Her Mouth

Madame Tussauds in New York City released a brand new wax figure. The figure is of First Lady Melania Trump, and the museum unveiled it on April 25. Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer presided over the event. In addition to the statue being released, Madame Tussauds launched a Twitter feed so that guests can tweet what she's thinking for a limited time.

The event was hosted by former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, who praised the FLOTUS as being a 'very gracious and fashionable woman'.

“I don’t think the American people have fully appreciated the level of intellect that she has…she really has her finger on the pulse of what’s going on politically, what’s going on in the media,” said Spicer.

The statue unveiled features the statue of Melania, looking eerily real. The 47-year-old former fashion model is wearing a blue dress and is positioned next to a statue of President Donald Trump. In the exhibit, the two are standing in a replica of the Oval Office behind the desks. Guests can sit in the desk and get a picture with the first couple.

“It’s unbelievably lifelike,” said Spicer.

President Trump’s figure was originally there, made after he was elected, but Melania is new to the scene.

In addition to the statue, Madame Tussauds released a new Twitter event, entitled 'Give Melania a Voice'. The exhibit enables guests only to tweet a comment from Melania's perspective.

"Have you ever thought of what it would be like to be the First Lady of the United States? Well now is your chance to have some FLOTUS FUN and show us! On April 25th 2018 Madame Tussauds New York will be launching for the first time ever the figure of First Lady, Melania Trump!" read the advertisement.

Some of the people who Tweeted for Melania are obviously fans.

"If he succeeds so does America!" one wrote.

"Trump told me I would be First Lady one day," wrote another.

Some were clearly not fans of President Trump.

"Hola I am Melania. I’m a lot cooler than my husband," read one comment.

"Currently trying to stop Donald from another twitter war with Jay- Z over his buddy Kanye. Disappointed. Shame," one person said.

Some were not fans of Melania.

"Hopefully I won’t steal some of Michelle’s quotes," another person's suggestion read.

A lot of comments were cries from Melania, such as ‘Help Me!’ and ‘Get me outta here!’

"Build a wall around my bedroom please," one person wrote.

The unveiling took place on April 25, just after Melania did a smashing job hosting her first state dinner. “Last night I think the world got to see what a great first lady she is, what impeccable taste she has. It’s just another example of her putting on an amazing event for her to highlight our country for the world to see,” said Spicer.

Since then, Melania has launched her 'Be Best' initiative, an initiative aimed at helping children to protect them from things like bullying and the opioid epidemic.

Social media was merciless when photos of the figure was released.

"Ironically, the wax statue failed to accurately capture Melania's dead eyes," wrote one individual.

"We can and should teach social and self-awareness, positive relationship skills and responsible decision making," the first lady said. "Let us teach our children the difference between right and wrong, and encourage them to Be Best in their individual paths in life."
