Stormy Daniels Wass Physically Threatened to Keep Quiet About President

The storm around Stephanie Clifford, the adult film star who is best known by her stage name, Stormy Daniels, continues to swirl. Now that Trump's lawyer has spilled the beans about the non-disclosure agreement made with Daniels, and she now considers the agreement null and void.

She is looking for ways to share her story-- complete with text messages and videos. According to her attorney, things have gotten ugly. His client has even been threatened.

Michael Avenatti, the attorney representing Daniels, appeared on the "morning Joe' this week to talk about his client's situation. The porn star was launched into the spotlight after it came out that she allegedly had an affair with Donald Trump back in 2006.

The alleged affair happened just weeks after Trump's wife, Melania Trump, gave birth to the couple's son, Barron. Mr. Trump, then a reality television star, supposedly carried on an affair with Daniels that was on and off for years. Even after she broke things off with him, Daniels said that Trump continued to pursue her.

Daniels gave an interview in 2011 about her relationship with Trump, but at the time it was never published. Shortly before winning the 2016 election, Trump's attorney, Michael Cohen, paid Daniels $130,000 to sign the non-disclosure agreement, which he says is not an admission of guilt.

Cohen claims Trump did not pay the money and did not know about the agreement; his lawyer simply attempted to prevent the accusations from leading to a scandal so close to Election Day by paying the hush money.

The original article has been published, along with all the sordid details of the couple's sex life. Daniels says she has more to tell, and has been looking to legally free herself from the restraints of the agreement, which she says Trump's people declared void by publicly talking about it.

Since she's threatened to go public, her attorney says she's been getting threats in return.

'Morning Joe' co-host Mika Brzezinski asked Avenatti, "Was she threatened in any way?"

Avenatti responded, "Yes."

“Was she threatened physical harm?” Brzezinski pressed.

"Yes," Avenatti confirmed.

The attorney wouldn't answer whether the threats came from the president or his people, the GOP or just angry conservatives who are furious with Daniels. He did say that he and his client were prepared to drop some bombshells on their upcoming appearance on '60 Minutes'.

Brzezinski noted that the amount Daniels was paid was a 'strange' number. Considering Trump's net worth, one would have thought that Daniels and Trump's lawyers would have arrived at a much higher figure to keep news of an affair out of the tabloids.

“I agree with you that it is a strange number and I think, again, once she is permitted to speak, people are going to discover why that is,” Avenatti said.

Avenatti says that Daniels might just be the beginning of what could turn into a massive scandal for the White House. He says that at least six other women have approached him with similar stories about Trump. The lawyer says he hasn't investigated the claims 'to any great degree' yet, so he won't spill any details. However, he may end up taking on other clients in the future, depending on how the investigations pan out.
