Stormy Daniels' Mother Is a Trump Supporter and Worried About the Outcome of Lawsuit

Stephanie Clifford, better known to the world as Stormy Daniels, filed a lawsuit against President Donald Trump earlier this month. The adult film star allegedly had an affair with Trump a decade ago, and is trying to release herself from a nondisclosure agreement so that she can tell her story.

Daniels' mother, a huge Trump supporter, is worried about what this will do to the president. Daniels' father is worried about what people might do to his daughter.

Sheila Gregory, Daniels' mother, hasn't spoken to her daughter in more than a decade. She never knew about the affair her daughter allegedly had with Donald Trump back when he was a reality television star. But now that her daughter has become national news, Gregory is concerned. She doesn't want her daughter to hurt Trump's presidency, or his chances for re-election in 2020.

“If Mr. Trump runs four more times, I would vote for him every time,” 64-year-old Gregory told the Dallas Morning News. “I like him. I like the way he handles things. It’s time this country is put back where it belongs — taking care of the people here instead of the people who don’t belong here.”

Ms. Gregory laments over the fact that her daughter cut her off 12 years ago. She claims she doesn't know why she was cut out of her daughter's life.

“It hurts me deeply... “My friends all say the same thing: ‘I can’t believe that is the same sweet child — you took such good care of her,'" Gregory said. “I say, ‘How do you think I feel?’”

Trump's attorney confirmed that he had Daniels sign a non-disclosure agreement about the relationship just before the 2016 election, paying her $130,000 in hush money. Daniels argues that because Trump's attorney talked about the agreement, and because Trump never signed it, the agreement should be null and void.

The actress is pushing for a court to declare this so that she can share her story with the world. Her attorney hinted of more evidence to come by posting a photo of a CD. Daniels is slated to talk to '60 Minutes' about her relationship with the president.

In Touch Weekly has already published an interview Daniels gave in 2011. At the time, sources were confirmed and the porn star was even given a lie detector test, but ultimately they chose not to run the story. Now that Trump is president, the significance of the story impacts the country.

Daniels' father is worried about his estranged daughter. Bill Gregory divorced Daniels' mother when Daniels was just four years old. He remembers his daughter growing up with a love of horses, wanting to be a veterinarian. He can't believe what's going on with her now.

“I see her in the news — everything that’s going on — it’s hard,” he said to 'Inside Edition'. “It’s become a real mess, looks like to me. I like Trump and I like my daughter. I don’t want to pick sides. It’s unfortunate that it’s gotten to this point.”

He has advice for his daughter: “Be very careful... When you start challenging powerful people with a lot of money, they can ruin your life.”

He also notes that with the political climate so hot these days, she needs to watch out for other people. “Trump has a lot of radical followers that might take offense to her telling stories about him.”
