Michael Moore Predicted Trump Win in 2016; Now He Predicts Trump Will Win Re-Election in 2020

Michael Moore is a filmmaker, not a psychic, but his predictions about President Donald Trump have been spot on. Most liberals were convinced that there was no possible way Trump could have come close to winning the presidential election in 2016.

Even Hillary Clinton's campaign team had hoped Trump would win the GOP primaries so that she could face off against someone they thought would give her an easy win. Moore was one of the lone voices among Democrats warning his party of their impending crushing loss.

Now, Moore is issuing a new warning. The 64-year-old filmmaker says Trump is going to win again in 2020 if they aren't careful.

“You have to listen this time, because he is going to win the 2020 election," he said in an appearance on 'Real Time' with Bill Maher. "Even if he doesn’t, he’s not going to leave. [Trump] won’t leave after the second term if he doesn’t have to, if nobody stops him. This man believes in being president for life.”

Considering the Constitution limits presidents to two terms of four years each. The 22 amendment was ratified in 1951, after Franklin Delano Roosevelt, a Democrat, served for 12 years. He won a total of four elections, but died only 11 weeks into his fourth term.

Moore pointed out that Trump seemed to heap a bit too much praise on President Xi Jinping of China for extending his own presidency by fighting to eliminate term limits.

"He's now president for life. President for life. No, he's great. And look, he was able to do that. I think it's great. Maybe we'll have to give that a shot some day," Trump said, according to CNN.

Some claim Trump only sounds as though he's half-joking. Moore and Maher talked about fascism, and how a regime doesn't just plop down on a people all at once. They noted that it 'happens in little increments'.

Moore produced films such as 'Fahrenheit 9/11', a criticism of former President George W. Bush's administration, and 'Fahrenheit 11/9', about Donald Trump winning the 2016 election. The extreme liberal/progressive political activist compares what is happening in the U.S. to 'The Handmaid's Tale'.

“The best part of the show are the flashbacks where [Elizabeth Moss’ Offred] tries to figure out, where was the point when it was too late? Where was the point where, if we had all just risen up, if we’d just done something?” he explains.

Moore believes Americans need to ramp up the protests. He plans to join protests at the Capital against Trump appointing a new Supreme Court Justice after the retirement of Justice Anthony Kennedy was announced.

Kennedy was often considered a conservative because he was appointed by Ronald Regan, but many note that he was more of a centrist on the court. His rulings often leaned with the liberal justices.

If Trump appoints a true conservative to the court, SCOTUS will lean heavily conservative.

Moore is a huge critic of Trump and doesn't want to see him win a second term, or become 'president for life', but he fears that this might be the way things are headed if Democrats don't get their act together.

“Never in my life have I wanted to be proven wrong more than I do right now.”
