Arnold Schwarzenegger Unleashes Fury On Twitter Over Trump-Putin Press Conference

The former governor of California was outraged by President Donald Trump's press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Arnold Schwarzenegger took to Twitter to vent his anger in a video. He posted a video speaking directly to Trump, claiming he sold out America.

Trump and Putin met at the Helsinki Summit on Monday, and the two held a press conference that left a lot of Trump 'resisters' furious. The president denied that there was any Russian collusion in the 2016 election, stating that he beat Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton fair and square. For many wrapped up in the ongoing Trump-Russia collusion investigation, the president's defense of Russia is nothing short of treason.

Schwarzenegger compared Trump to a ‘wet noodle’ and called the president’s behavior ‘embarrassing’.

"You literally sold out at this press conference our intelligence community, our justice system and worst of all our country," Schwarzenegger said in his angry rant. "You're the president of the United States, you shouldn't do that. What is the matter with you?"

The Austrian born actor-turned-politician concluded by asking, "What happened to the strong words, and to the strength of President Reagan when he said 'Mr. Gorbachev tear down this wall!' What happened to all that?"

Many of Schwarzenegger’s fans agreed. "Risking impeachment is tiny penalty compared 2 being in fear for your life, & Trump is so beholden to Putin it's like he fears way more than prison. Someone in a position to serve his own ppl, only 'chooses' to betray & lie to them in favor of serving an enemy screams blackmail," one suggested.

"July 16, the day that Donald Trump, in front of the whole world, said “I think the United States has been foolish” is “a day that will live in infamy” ... a day that a United States President blamed his own country for the decline in the relationship with Russia, an adversary," another complained.

There were Trump supporters as well who denied Trump did anything wrong.

"Oh ye of little faith... President Trump has an unconventional leadership style. Support him or Get out of his way. And that goes to ALL OF YOU who are ALL TALK, NO ACTION," one person Tweeted.

Another person pointed out how absurd it is for liberals to be up in arms over Trump meeting with Putin when other presidents have met with Russian leaders before.

“Roosevelt met with Stalin. Eisenhower met with Khrushchev. Kennedy met with Khrushchev .
Reagan met with Gorbachev. Bill Clinton met with Boris Yeltsin, Clinton met Putin. GW Bush met with Putin. Obama met with Putin. Trump meets Putin and the world goes crazy,” a Twitter user noted.

Trump predicted that he would be criticized for his performance at the summit even before he went. In a series of tweets on Sunday, the president said, "Heading to Helsinki, Finland – looking forward to meeting with President Putin tomorrow. Unfortunately, no matter how well I do at the Summit, if I was given the great city of Moscow as retribution for all of the sins and evils committed by Russia over the years, I would return to criticism that it wasn’t good enough – that I should have gotten Saint Petersburg in addition!"
