Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Could be Facing Serious Jail Time (Video)

Though Kim Kardashian and Kanye West could serve a three-year prison term for leaking a private phone conversation with Taylor Swift, according to The Sun, TMZ says they won’t.

The whole fiasco is over West’s lyric in one of his songs, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. I made that b**** famous.”

The leaked phone call apparently shows Swift supporting the lyric saying West is a “friend” and the song is “like a compliment” and that it’s “obviously very tongue in cheek.” But now, Swifts legal team is considering taking some serious action.

The Sun reports that if convicted of California penal code 632, which makes it illegal to record calls without permission from both sides, the couple could face up to three years in prison for the felony charge.

"Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me 'that bitch' in his song?” Swift said a statement. “It doesn't exist because it never happened. You don't don’t get to control someone’s emotional response to being called ‘that bitch’ in front of the entire world. Of course I wanted to like the song. I wanted to believe Kanye when he told me I would love the song. I wanted us to have a friendly relationship. He promised to play the song for me, but he never did. While I wanted to be supportive of Kanye on the phone call, you cannot 'approve' a song you haven't heard. Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination.”

TMZ reports since Swift was aware that other people were listening to the call that she can’t take legal action.
