Ivanka's Defunct Jewelry Line Tied To Money Laundering Case

Trouble and the name Ivanka Trump seem to go hand in hand these days. The First Daughter is constantly raked over the coals for anything and everything, and the overwhelming majority of the angst that heads in her direction can be tied to a simple fact: her father is President of the United States, and there are many folks that are none too keen about that fact.

As a result, anti-Trump detractors are more than happy to throw as much shade as possible at all members of the Trump clan, and Ivanka, in particular, has been an awfully popular target.

If she dares to post anything on social media, she’s completely ripped to shreds regardless of what she has to say. Oftentimes, she’s simply sharing a snap of something to do with her kids, but that doesn’t matter all that much for those that don’t care for her or her family.

There are some incredibly unsightly and disheartening things posted about her each and every time she clicks post, and it’s frankly a wonder that she hasn’t packed it in on the social media front by this point.

The same thing applies whenever she appears in public on behalf of her father. Trump detractors seem to believe that she has some sort of mystical powers over President Donald Trump. By extension, they hold her completely accountable for any and all decisions that are made by the Trump administration.

Ivanka is held to some completely impossible standards. In essence, she’s damned if she does, and she’s damned just as hard if she doesn’t.

In addition to the rampant criticism that constantly heads in her direction, there’s always a lot of digging that goes on in regards to her personal brand and businesses. After her father was elected, there was even a movement afoot to wreak as much havoc on her various lines of products.

It was mission accomplished for the trolls on that front, as a number of retailers caved to the backlash and removed Ivanka’s products from their offerings. Fast forward to today, and any piece of unseemly business news that can be remotely attached to her name is blared from the rooftops with the implication that she’s some kind of nefarious individual.

As the International Business Times shares, there’s a good chance that’ll be happening with this little nugget. Her now-defunct jewelry line has been caught up in a money laundering scheme.

While Ivanka has absolutely nothing to do with the charges that have been leveled against a powerful oil trading family that used her old business to conceal assets, you can be sure there will be inquiring minds that attempt to connect the dots.

In short, the Al Saris family is accused of concealing assets from the Commercial Bank of Dubai by purchasing diamonds from her old line. The family is on the hook to the bank to the tune of $100 million, and the bank has gone ahead and subpoenaed Ivanka’s old business for information.

There’s nothing to suggest that Ivanka is attached to any wrongdoing whatsoever, but that’s not going to matter all that much to those that prefer to hold her to impossible standards. It’s just another day in the life of Ivanka, but there’s now even more fuel on the fire for those that take great glee in ripping her to shreds.
