Travelling Cat And Dog Are Best Friends - And Viral Sensations

Amazing snaps of travellers aren’t a new phenomenon on social media, and particularly breathtaking ones can capture a healthy amount of interest. However, to really move the needle in terms of popularity, there has to be something extraordinary going on in the snaps. Cynthia Bennett and her boyfriend consistently knock it out of the park on that front, but it doesn’t have all that much to do with what they are up to, but rather who they are bouncing around with.

As Bored Panda shares, their pets - Henry the dog and Baloo the cat - are with them every step of the way. What’s more, the dog and cat are the bestest of pals, and they seem to enjoy the travels just as much as Cynthia and her beau do. The couple enjoys hiking as often as possible, and they have shared some absolutely adorable snaps of Henry and Baloo joining in on the fun.

“I think we only had him for three days when we took him on our first hike. He found the steepest, tallest rock around, and he ran up to the top of it to look over the edge,” Bennett explained.

“We call him our little mountain goat. He scares us to death, because he goes up to the highest cliff or the highest rock to climb up and look over it.”

The couple adopted both of their pets, which makes it all the more amazing that their furry friends adapted to their newfound hobbies so quickly.

“I get a lot of questions about how we got him used to it. But he really loves it. He really wants to go outside."

"If I touch Henry’s leash, [Baloo] will start screaming at the door,” Bennett continued. “He’s definitely not the kind of cat we can leave home alone on the weekend anymore. I think he thinks he’s more a dog than anything.”

Henry and Baloo seem to be attached at the hip, and there’s absolutely no drama or tension between them whatsoever. The dynamic duo will even huddle up and sleep together from time to time, and they both are completely in the swing of things when it comes to wearing the appropriate gear for their journeys.

“I call them brothers, but I think Baloo thinks that Henry’s his mom because he constantly looks for a teet. So he’ll go in, and you can tell he’s looking, because he’s nuzzling under Henry’s armpit,” Bennett noted.

“He just flopped down and bear hugged Henry’s neck and head. And Henry just laid there.”

It looks like Cynthia and her boyfriend hit the jackpot on the adoption front, as they snagged a pair of adoring and loving animals that will go with the flow. We can say the same about Henry and Baloo’s good fortune as well, as it looks like they have more exciting lives than the average dog and cat. It’s hard to see these pals being content roaming around the house all day, but we’d imagine they rest awfully well once they get back from their various adventures.

We’ll keep our eyes peeled for some more snaps of the travels of these four-legged friends, as it looks like their hiking careers are just getting started.
