Government Sends Chilling Message To Stay Away From Massive Sea Creature That Just Washed Ashore

The deep blue sea is full of amazing and only barely known creatures, and when one of these monsters washes up on the shore, there’s always a great deal of interest in what it is.

A 35-foot-long sea creature washed up on the coast near Hartland Quay, in Devon, and local residents were stunned at the sight.

The residents of Hartland Quay in Devon, England had to inform national officials about a huge sea creature that washed up on their shore as they were worried about health issues.

The sea creature is apparently close to the size of a double-decker bus, and was so bizarre looking that locals had trouble identifying exactly what it was or if it was even real or some kind of movie prop.

Sarah Stafford, the manager at the Hartland Quay Hotel and Pub noted that she had alerted the government about the massive creature. “We have reported it to the government on their specialist whale and dolphin hotline,” she said in an interview with local media sources. “It’s huge but it’s definitely dead. We think it’s a baleen whale.”

When people figured out that it was very likely the carcass of a whale, they became concerned, as whales are known to explode when the gasses in their stomach build up pressure.

Not surprisingly, authorities have warned residents and visitors to not get too close to the carcass. “Whales can carry lots of diseases which can be passed on to humans so we would advise members of the public not to get too close,” British Divers Marine Life Rescue member Cheryl Fan Daerden commented to the press.

“It is also worth reminding people that it is illegal to remove any part of a whale which has washed up, so please keep your distance,” she also noted.

The Torridge council has decided it is important to move the whale as soon as possible because quite a few people seem to be coming by just to have a picture taken next to the carcass.
