Couple Out Walking Dog Makes Shocking Discovery

A British beach town is baffled wondering what the origins are of the giant 11ft long sea creature that washed up on its shore. According to Express, a couple was walking their dog when they discovered the mystery beast’s carcass on Morfa Beach in Port Talbot.

Seeing jellyfish and other small sea animals were the norm for Melanie Rees, 41, and her husband Mike, 47, but they’ve never seen anything like this.

At first the couple thought they were looking at a giant piece of driftwood or a log, but as they got closer realized it was an unidentifiable sea monster.

"I couldn't believe how big it was,” she said. "But when we got closer, I could see thousands of flies and I knew it had been an animal. I couldn't believe how big it was. I think it could be a whale, but I'm not sure. I don't think a whale would wash up that far."

The Rees’ have uploaded pictures of the creature to Facebook, yet no one has been able to identify what it is.

"People on Facebook have been hilarious,” said Melanie Rees. “One has even said it could be a dinosaur, but I'm not so sure."
