Authorities Claim Pulling Your Dog On A Rope Behind Your Car Is ‘Okay’

A person in Greece noticed a pet owner driving a car. His dog was tied to the back and dragging behind him. The witness snapped a photo and reported the incident to the authorities, and was shocked by their response. Apparently, it's perfectly legal.

Authorities told the animal lover that the driver said the dog was already deceased. The driver was dragging the dog's body behind his car on a rope to find a good place to bury it.

Dead or alive, the sight of a furry body being dragged along the streets is shocking and horrifying. Surely the driver could have loaded the dog into a box or placed the body in a bag. He then could have loaded it into the car and went to find a proper burial place without making a gory spectacle.

There's no law against it, though... so for now the deed goes unpunished. Let’s just hope the driver was being truthful, and that the dog was indeed dead before the ride.
